JACC Journals App Reviews

App should be in the CCU

Used to work very good, now it simply doesnt work at all, extremely low response time to either fix or roll back to previous version.

New Features

Nice app, but not as user friendly as the Circulation app. Adding a feature to email articles as a link would be great. Circulation also makes it easier to move from one article to the next. Also, why arent the Summary of Key articles sections included? Especially as an ACC member, I would get them in the print version, but I prefer to use the iPad version. Please include ALL sections on the iPad app.

Crashing still!!!!

Actually was a great app before the "upgrade". Now it wont start and just keeps crashing. The long awaited update that was supposed to fix this has not helped. Still crashes :( Pls fix!!!

Buggy

Tends to crash while loading advertisements if Im using it without wi-fi (eg. On a plane). Additional features such as ability to open articles on ibooks would be helpful. Would love features such as highlight, bookmarks, increase font size. Program is slow and full of bugs when compared to media such as "the Economist" "Time"

Still easier to read online

The program is slow to start up, and It takes too long to download an entire journal. This could be much improved if it offered the option to download individual articles. The standard online version of the journal is still easier to navigate. Agree with other reviewer that there should be a way to track which issues have been read.

Obnoxious ads: difficult to get rid of Xarelto and TAVI ads

The ads are so obnoxious: they force you to look at the ads for almost 10 seconds and they are hard to get rid of. I was so annoyed that I refused to prescribe the drugs or devices they advertised unless I didnt have any other choices.

Downloading

The downloading is too slow.It takes for ever ,It could be better. If it offers ,option of downloading individual article.I wish that I could have not bought the IPad.

Disappointing interface.

For as many cardiologists that use iPads and have a JACC subscription, I would have expected a superior app with easy navigation and a top-end interface. Unfortunately, this app has none of those. The JACC material is excellent, as expected, but developing a new, totally-overhauled, modern app should be a top priority for ACC and Elsevier.

Failure!

Downloading fails every time! Worthless App!
